As Bay Head branch manager Mary Guetzlaff enters her retirement, the entire Manasquan Bank family extends its best wishes, heartfelt congratulations, and sincere gratitude for her time with us. Guetzlaff leaves a legacy of exceptional service, dedication, and excellence.
Guetzlaff joined Manasquan Bank in 1999 and spent three years managing the Manasquan branch before transferring to Bay Head in 2002, where she led the branch’s operations for 13 years. In both Manasquan and Bay Head, she embodied Manasquan’s Bank community-centered focus and created a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
An active member in the community and all-around pleasure to work alongside, Guetzlaff nods to her staff and customers when asked about her best memories running the Bay Head branch.
“My time here was absolutely wonderful,” Guetzlaff said. “This is such a great team and community to be a part of. I will miss everyone dearly.”
Guetzlaff’s tenure with Manasquan Bank caps an illustrious career that began in 1970 at Monmouth County National Bank and included 13 years with Ocean County National Bank.
In 2015, Guetzlaff’s longstanding contributions to the Bay Head community earned her a Proclamation from the Bay Head Business Association, with which she serves as treasurer. Her commitment extends to other coastal communities nearby, as she is on the board of the Algonquin Arts Theater in Manasquan, along with numerous organizations in her hometown of Point Pleasant, including Coastal Caregivers and the Point Pleasant Chamber of Commerce. Guetzlaff is a former president of the Rotary Club of Point Pleasant Boro, and was named Volunteer of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce.
“Throughout her time with Manasquan Bank, Mary showed a genuine passion for her job and took visible pride in helping others,” said Manasquan Bank Chairman, President and CEO, James Vaccaro. “She has always been extremely well-liked, and her retirement is equally well-deserved.”
Embarking on what is sure to be an exciting and rewarding new chapter in life, Guetzlaff said she is looking forward to spending time with her husband and family, traveling, and reading on the beach. She plans to stay active, and possibly even pursue her New Jersey real estate license.
Manasquan Bank will miss Mary’s many contributions, but we’ll certainly look forward to seeing her out and about in the community.
