MANASQUAN BANK ALIGNS WITH NON-PROFIT, JAR OF HOPE, TO EMBARK ON 158-MILE RUN TO ALL 15 BRANCHES
WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ (June 3, 2022) – Manasquan Bank recently announced they have aligned with the non-profit organization, JAR of Hope, to bring an uplifting event to New Jersey communities to generate awareness for the devastating disease – Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).
As part of this endeavor, James “Jim” Raffone, JAR of Hope Founder and CEO, will be running to each of Manasquan Bank’s 15 branch locations throughout the state to raise awareness about this debilitating disease. Funds raised during this event will be directed to ongoing research in the hope of eliminating DMD. The 5-day event starts at 9:13AM on Monday, June 13, 2022, with a Kickoff Celebration at the Bank’s Little Egg Harbor branch. The 158-mile running trail will take Raffone on a journey throughout Ocean, Monmouth, and Middlesex counties with stops along the way each day of the week. A Finish Line Celebration is scheduled for Friday, June 17, 2022, at 3:00PM at the Bank’s Administrative Office in Wall. Bank clients and community members alike are invited to visit their local Manasquan Bank branch to increase their awareness of this wonderful cause, receive daily giveaways and join the celebrations.
Raffone started JAR of Hope when his then 4-year-old-son, James Anthony Raffone, was diagnosed with DMD on September 13, 2013. Raffone’s mission to find a cure for his son and other children has been relentless, and local and national events continue to support ongoing DMD treatment research. JAR of Hope’s most recent fundraising campaign took Raffone and a courageous team of supporters 17,598 feet into the sky to the base camp at Mt. Everest.
