February 09, 2015

WALL, NJ (February 2, 2015) – Manasquan Savings Bank, a community bank headquartered in Wall Township, announced that Mr. Bruce M. Oswald has joined the Bank as Senior Vice President, Chief Retail Officer.

With over 35 years of experience in the financial sector, Mr. Oswald brings an established record of successes to Manasquan Savings Bank. For the past seven years, he served as Senior VP Regional Manager for Sun National Bank where he oversaw the management and development of 16 branches across five New Jersey counties. Prior to Sun National, Mr. Oswald established a banking prowess at Wachovia Bank.

Serving in several positions over his 27-year tenure with Wachovia, Mr. Oswald’s start as a teller ultimately culminated in his role as VP, Financial Specialist Sales Leader, in which he was responsible for leading a 21-person team of financial specialists. Under his leadership, the team achieved a new production high of $21.5MM in closed loans.

“We are thrilled to have Bruce Oswald join the senior management team,” said Mr. James S. Vaccaro, President and CEO of Manasquan Savings Bank. “His wealth of experience and stellar record of leadership will add greatly to Manasquan Savings Bank’s vision for immediate and future development.”

In this newly created role, Mr. Oswald will help lead Manasquan Savings Bank’s transition into the future. “The traditional brick and mortar in banking needs to be effectively complemented with delivery systems that cater to the banking preferences of a changing consumer,” says Oswald. With two cutting edge locations planned for 2015, and a shift towards a more autonomous means of banking, one thing that will never change is Manasquan Savings Bank’s commitment to the community it serves. “The legacy will continue, and we aim to provide an even higher level of service.”

Oswald, who studied at Thomas Edison State College and the American Institute of Banking, currently serves on the boards for the Trenton Public Education Foundation, for which he also serves as Treasurer, and the Old Barracks Museum (Trenton, NJ.) He has also formerly served on local boards for March of Dimes, Neighborhood Housing Services of Trenton, and the Lambertville Chamber of Commerce, among others. Mr. Oswald resides with his partner of 34 years in Washington Crossing, PA.
