MANASQUAN BANK NAMES ED SKOUDIS TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ (November 16, 2020) - Manasquan Bank, a community bank headquartered in Wall Township, N.J., has appointed Ed Skoudis to its Board of Directors, effective October 28th 2020.
Mr. Skoudis is the CEO and founder of Counter Hack, an information security firm based in Wall, N.J. specializing in empowering corporations, government agencies, and military organizations to secure and protect their enterprises from cyber threats and attacks. In addition to founding the company in 2010, Mr. Skoudis has designed and developed award-wining cyber range training programs for the SANS Institute.
“A well-cited expert in the field of cybersecurity, Mr. Skoudis brings over two decades of experience, knowledge and additional perspective,” said James S. Vaccaro, Chairman, President and CEO. “As the trusted information security expert, I am confident that Mr. Skoudis will be an incredibly valuable addition to the Board of Directors”.
Throughout his career Mr. Skoudis has taught cyber incident response and advanced penetration testing techniques to more than 20,000 cybersecurity professionals. Mr. Skoudis was requested to visit the White House, as the certified expert, to test the security viability of the Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) that now protects U.S. Government networks. Additionally, he led the team that first publicly demonstrated significant security flaws in virtual machine technology.
A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, he earned an M.S. in Information Networking and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan. Mr. Skoudis speaks often at the industry’s biggest conferences, has co-authored several books on ethical hacking, and has received numerous honors including the US Army’s Order of Thor Medal.
