MANASQUAN BANK’S LIGHTS, CAMERA, SAVE! LOCAL WINNER SELECTED AS NATIONAL FINALIST

Manasquan Bank’s Lights, Camera, Save! Local Winner Selected as National Finalist

WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ (March 18, 2021) – Manasquan Bank’s Lights, Camera, Save! local winner, Christopher Coleman, Brick, NJ, has been named a national finalist by the American Bankers Association Foundation. Lights, Camera, Save! is an annual video contest that encourages teens ages 13-18 to produce a short, 30-second film that communicates the importance of sound financial habits.

Christopher is one of eight students, from across the country, selected to compete for several awards, including $5,000 for first place, $2,000 for second place and $1,000 for the third and fourth place. The finalists will face off in a bracket-style tournament hosted on ABA’s Instagram page from March 23 to 25. Viewers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite video to make it to the next round. The winning student will be announced on Friday, March 26.

This year, 117 banks hosted 133 contests in 47 states as a part of Lights, Camera, Save! Christopher’s captivating video demonstrated how to turn loose coins into real dollars with patience, savings, and a little bit of magic.

“All of us at Manasquan Bank are thrilled Christopher is being recognized for finding such a creative and effective way to share valuable savings lessons with his peers,” said James S. Vaccaro, Chairman, President and CEO. “We hope everyone in New Jersey will take a few minutes out of their day to support a local student and cast their vote for Christopher’”.

Manasquan Bank is extremely pleased Christopher’s video has proceeded to the final round and has pledged to match his prize winnings should he place. Should he not place, the Bank already considers Christopher a winner with his knowledge in financial literacy and will be awarding him $1,000 toward his academic pursuits.
