WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ (November 5, 2019) – Manasquan Bank Vice President Heather Schick is one of only 361 Accredited Payments Risk Professionals (APRP) in the U.S. after passing a challenging exam administered by National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA).
Schick also becomes one of only 269 individuals nationally holding both the APRP and Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) designations from NACHA, placing Manasquan Bank among a select few firms in the country with an AAP/APRP on staff.
“Heather’s ongoing professional accomplishments are remarkable, as these are two of the most respected qualifications in the banking sector,” said Manasquan Bank President and CEO James S. Vaccaro. “She also completed the NJBankers Emerging Bank Leaders Program in 2018, requiring 11 months of coursework, and previously received a New Leader in Banking award in 2017. Her commitment, dedication and recognition elevate our entire team.”
Schick began her Manasquan Bank career as an assistant branch manager in the bank’s Spring Lake Heights office in 2007 and was promoted to branch manager in the Meeting House Road office in 2010. She joined our then-newly created cash management department in 2014, which provided her the opportunity to capitalize on her technical and operational expertise. In 2017, she received a promotion to a VP role.
As an APRP, Heather demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of risk management strategies, concepts and mitigation techniques within the payments ecosystem. Earning the APRP credential requires mastery of the complexities of risk management for ACH, check, wire, debit, credit and prepaid cards, and emerging and alternative payments.
