WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ (November DAY, 2019) – Manasquan Bank, a full service community bank headquartered in Wall Township, NJ, has been named a Corporate Citizen of the Year finalist in the 2019 NJBIZ Business of the Year Awards.
As a #BizoftheYearNJ honoree, the bank will attend a special reception and awards ceremony on Dec. 10 at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, NJ.
The Corporate Citizen of the Year Award honors companies that exemplify the tenet of “doing well by doing good” and demonstrate a sustained commitment to their employees and communities they serve. Manasquan Bank has embodied the definition of a true community bank—not just in the past year, but throughout its storied 145-year history. The Manasquan Bank Charitable Foundation provides direct support to local not-for-profit organizations making a difference in various ways.
“Our goal is to enhance the efforts of not-for-profit groups, institutions, schools and other organizations within our local communities who are working to solve unfulfilled needs through innovative thinking and programs,” said Manasquan Bank President and CEO James S. Vaccaro. “We are also involved in many ongoing events that bring people together and keep our team deeply connected to the communities we serve.”
Highlights from Manasquan Bank’s 2019 community initiatives include Volunteer Days at Lunch Break, Habitat for Humanity, and Fulfill, Bowl for Kids’ Sake benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth & Middlesex Counties, ABA’s Teach Children to Save, Giving Tuesday and many others. Manasquan Bank also hosts its own Community Day each year, with 2019 marking the sixth annual celebration. Community Day is a family-friendly event completely free to the public, with a wide range of attractions including carnival games, pony rides and plenty of other amusements, plus food and refreshments served by the bank’s management.
