Manasquan Bank’s Nick Martin Earns 2016 New Leaders in Banking Award

January 10, 2017

Manasquan Bank’s Marketing Coordinator and Assistant Treasurer, Nick Martin was named one of New Jersey’s New Leaders in Banking for 2016.

The 2016 recognition marked the fourth straight year in which a Manasquan Bank employee has been included in the annual selection of up-and-coming banking industry stars made by the New Jersey Bankers Association and New Jersey Banker magazine. Martin was recognized alongside 12 other 2016 New Leaders at a special awards dinner on Thursday, Dec. 1 at Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Long Branch, N.J.

“Mr. Martin has shown ambition, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to enhance Manasquan Bank’s image and marketing strategy,” said Manasquan Bank President and CEO, James S. Vaccaro. “More importantly, he demonstrates a strong commitment to civic engagement and giving back to the community. We congratulate him on this career milestone, and look forward to his bright future with our team.”

A New Leader in Banking is defined as being “an outstanding employee, manager, or business leader” who is under the age of 40, working in a bank in New Jersey, and “making a notable impact within their bank and community.”

Since joining Manasquan Bank in 2013, Martin has completed an impressive number of projects including the launch of Manasquan Bank’s Kasasa checking products, development of a comprehensive marketing plan, and coordination of a complete rebrand. He is also extremely active in the community, participating in the Manasquan Bank Charitable Foundation, and frequently volunteering his time to various local non-profits both in and out of the workplace. Martin sits on the Young Alumni Board at his alma mater, Elon University, and currently holds two leadership positions in the council. He has been instrumental in providing students at Elon and other colleges with exciting internship opportunities at Manasquan Bank.

The Dec. 1 awards dinner was sponsored by Wolf & Company, P.C., and preceded the BankHorizons 2016 conference Dec. 2, also held at Long Branch’s Ocean Place Resort & Spa. The 2016 New Leaders in Banking were recently featured in the Winter 2017 issue of New Jersey Banker magazine.
