This year, Manasquan Savings Bank marks its 140th anniversary providing customer-focused residential and business banking services in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. On June 10, the bank noted the occasion with a flagship celebration event held at the bank’s headquarters in Wall Township, NJ. Approximately 175 people were in attendance, including local dignitaries, long-time customers, and supporters of the bank’s extensive history in the region.
“As we look back on our many years of continuous service, it is clear that our success is borne of the faith that the community places in Manasquan Savings Bank,” said James S. Vaccaro, President and CEO of Manasquan Savings Bank. “We are honored to be a partner to so many residents and businesses, and look forward to another 140 years delivering on that promise.”
Under a canopy of sparkling lights, partygoers enjoyed an evening of drinks, dining, and networking. A small exhibit including historic photographs and bank documents was also on display, showcasing the bank’s local legacy. Notable attendees included John E. McWeeney Jr., President & CEO of New Jersey Bankers Association; Patrick J. Mullen, Director of Banking, NJ Department of Banking and Insurance; and Clinton C. Hoffman, Mayor of Wall Township.
During the event, David P. Rible, 30th District Assemblyman, noted the bank’s history of accomplishments in a celebratory presentation. He spoke to the bank’s 140 years of changing lives and helping people, applauding the bank’s great works. He went on to present a Legislative Resolution to President Vaccaro. The resolution was signed by Assemblyman Rible, State Senator Robert Singer and Assemblyman Sean T. Kean, noting the bank’s numerous accomplishments.
“Manasquan Savings Bank is especially commended for its dedication to helping members of the community-at- large grow and prosper with mortgages, construction and business loans and everyday banking,” Mr. Rible said. “Be it resolved by the senate and general assembly of the state of New Jersey; That this legislature hereby honors and congratulates Manasquan Savings Bank in recognition of its One Hundred Fortieth Anniversary, salutes its many years of service to the Garden State community and extends sincere best wishes for its continued vigor and success.”
Following Mr. Rible’s presentation, Mr. Vaccaro spoke to the bank’s continuity of mission, purpose and service. He graciously thanked the employees and board of directors for their hard work, noting that the bank’s success is directly related to their dedication as well as customers’ continued confidence in the bank’s vision. James M. Manser, Chairman of the Board of Directors, also lent his congratulations.
