Point Pleasant resident Thomas F. Blake was honored for 50 years of service and leadership with Manasquan Savings Bank. Assemblyman David Rible was in attendance to present Blake with the honor and proclamation.
A respected veteran of the US Navy, Blake began his inspiring career with Manasquan Savings Bank in March 1963, when he was only 23. Rising through the ranks, Blake held multiple positions within the company and went on to become President and CEO in July 1979 holding that position for 26 years until his retirement in December 2005. After retirement, Blake has remained actively involved with the bank, serving on the Board of Directors.
“Tom Blake has been instrumental in the success and acclaim of the bank, which grew from an asset base of $50 million to more than $500 million under his leadership and guidance,” explains Jim Manser, chairman of the board for Manasquan Savings Bank.
After the presentation, the Manasquan Savings Bank staff expressed their own gratitude to Mr. Blake. “Congratulations from all of us at Manasquan Savings Bank,” adds Ann Slavick, Vice President, who presented Blake with a special gift from bank employees.
Speaking about his career at the bank, Blake says, “I love this bank. It’s been a wonderful life. It goes by very fast, but it’s the people I’ve worked with here over the years that have made this experience so good.”
