Manasquan Bank Charitable Foundation, an affiliate of Manasquan Bank, held their third quarterly Charitable Foundation meeting on Thursday, October 1, 2020. The outdoor breakfast event was a chance for community members to learn more about Manasquan Bank’s philosophy for its future success and commitment to its community-based partners. It was also a great opportunity for each organization receiving a foundation grant to tell their story and explain how the new grant will assist in the achievement of their overall mission. The meeting was very collaborative, as participants had the opportunity to interact with James S. Vaccaro, Chairman, President and CEO of the Bank, and ask questions about the Bank and its service model.
A few members of the Manasquan Bank management team kicked off the morning’s event, where they provided an overview of the business and cultural opportunities the bank and how the Foundation continues to make an impact.
Mr. Vaccaro called attention to earlier in the year when the Charitable Foundation proudly awarded $127,500 in additional reserve funds to 51 local not-for-profit organizations. Each grant of $2,500 reflected the urgent needs for immediate relief during the pandemic.
Notably, at the socially-distanced breakfast event, those receiving an annual grant from the foundation included 180 Tuning Lives Around, Academy Charter High School, Angel and Jules for Others, Axelrod Performing Arts Center, CASA- Court Appointed Special Advocates of Monmouth County, Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, First Baptist Church (Free Food Pantry), Handicapped High Riders Club, Howell PBA Local 228 Civic Association, IFC United, Inc., Interfaith Hospitality Network of Ocean County, Jazz Arts Project, Jersey Shore Chamber of Commerce, Jersey Shore Rescue Mission, Make-A-Wish NJ, Metuchen - Edison Historical Society, NJ Museum of Boating, Ocean's Harbor House, Parker Family Health Center, Scan (Senior Citizens Activities Network, Inc.), Squan Village Historical Society, Stomp The Monster, The Arc, Ocean County Chapter, The Valerie Fund, and Your Grandmother's Cupboard.
